Looking for an opportunity to showcase your skills in front of college coaches and recruiters? NextBase Showcases is proud to offer a College Baseball Showcase for High School Seniors, Transfers, and JUCO Players.
This showcase event is specifically designed for players who are looking to gain exposure to college coaches and recruiters, and who have not yet committed to a university. It’s also open to transfer players and JUCO players who are seeking new opportunities to continue their baseball careers at the college level.
During the showcase, you’ll have the opportunity to demonstrate your skills in a variety of drills and exercises, as well as in live game situations. Our experienced coaching staff will provide personalized feedback on your performance, and our team of college recruiters and coaches will be on hand to scout and evaluate players.
The NextBase Showcases College Baseball Showcase for High School Seniors, Transfers, and JUCO Players is a two-day event, featuring a full day of skills testing and live game play, followed by a half-day of scrimmages and a showcase game. It’s the perfect opportunity to gain exposure to college coaches and recruiters, and to take your baseball career to the next level.

Coaches & Organizers you might meet...
Coach Waggoner has been coaching at the collegiate level for over 20 years while spending the last 16 seasons as the Head Coach at Marshall University. He has earned the title of Coach of the Year twice while he has helped produce 6 All – American players and 53 players who were drafted into the MLB (including three first round draft picks). He has had one College World Series and five NCAA Regional appearances.
Some of the most successful programs in college baseball’s recent history grace Thomas’s resume, including Clemson, Georgia Tech, Miami, Louisiana State and his most recent stop, at 2007 CWS participant Arizona State. It’s a journey that Thomas has made on 14 occasions at four different schools. He has coached in more College World Series than any active head coach.
Thomas played a major role in the Sun Devils’ success in the 2007 season, helping lead the team to a No. 3 National Ranking. The Sun Devils ended the season with the nation’s third-best team batting average (.345) and slugging percentage (.531), and ranked second in scoring (9.4/game). ASU also led the country in fielding percentage (.979). Prior to helping ASU return to Omaha, Thomas served as recruiting coordinator and hitting coach at LSU from 2000-06, winning a national title with the Tigers his first year on the job.
