Jose Taitague is an accomplished softball coach and sports professional currently serving as the Head Softball Coach at Paine College. In addition to his role at Paine College, he is also the Assistant Women’s Softball Coach for the Dominican Republic National Team, showcasing his international coaching experience and commitment to the development of the sport. Jose’s multifaceted career includes his role as the Sports Information Director at Paine College and the Director of Softball at Max Level Prospects, where he mentors and scouts emerging talent.
Jose’s leadership and dedication to his teams have been recognized through several prestigious awards and achievements. Under his guidance, his team at Paine College earned the Team Leadership Award and achieved the Highest Team GPA in the athletic department, demonstrating his emphasis on both athletic excellence and academic success. Remarkably, in his first year as head coach, Jose led his team to the first Regional Championship win in the program’s history, setting a high standard for future seasons.
A former volleyball player for the men’s club team at the University of Georgia, Jose brings a diverse athletic background to his coaching. His passion for sports extends beyond the field, as he enjoys traveling, watching baseball, and exploring new places, continually seeking new experiences and knowledge in the world of athletics.
