The University of South Carolina Beaufort baseball team will host a Prospect/Development Camp on Saturday, June 24th, 2023, for current high school baseball players (and 2023 graduates). The USCB coaching staff will lead the camp, which will be held at Richard Gray Sports Complex (205 Main Street, Hardeeville, S.C.). There are two sessions of the camp – position players and pitchers only. Players are welcome to register for both. Registration opens at 8 a.m. at the field. The first session – position players – begins at 9 a.m. and concludes at noon. There will be a 30-minute break for lunch, followed by the pitchers only session from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Players will go through position-specific drills along with offensive and defensive instruction from the Sand Shark baseball coaching staff.

To attend either session will cost $150 per player, while attending both sessions cost $200 per player.

There will be a break for lunch, but lunch will not be provided by USCB.

Players should bring their own gear, including bats, gloves, cleats and catching equipment.

In the event of inclement weather the camp will be rescheduled for an alternate date. There will be no refunds.

Position Player Only
Position players will run through a pro-day style showcase (timed sprints, BP, and defensive work with throws). Along with the showcase portion our coaches will develop campers through one on one instruction and drills in position-groups throughout the day.

Pitcher's Only
Pitcher's will cover our stretching, flexibility, and arm care routine.The arm care routine includies band work, plyocare, and our long-toss regimen with throwing progressions. Afterwards we will throw bullpens with coaches evaluating, critiquing, and velocities being recorded. Finally, we will finish with post-throw recovery exercises.

Both
Attendees who choose both will participate in both the position player portion followed by a 30 minute break then the pitcher portion afterwards.
