Coach Nicole Degenhardt brings an impressive 13 years of experience as a highly accomplished coach at the college level. Her coaching journey follows a foundation built on a stellar athletic career at the University of Felician, where she excelled in three sports, earning coveted All-CACC honors in both softball and volleyball. Graduating in 2011 with a degree in Mathematics Education/Special Education, Degenhardt’s athletic prowess was further recognized with her induction into Felician’s Athletic Hall-of-Fame in 2017.
Following her academic achievements, this native of Secaucus, New Jersey, dedicated herself to shaping young minds as a high school and middle school mathematics teacher in Wood-Ridge, New Jersey. Her commitment to student-athletes extended to the college level, where she assumed the role of Associate Athletic Director/Recruiting Coordinator at the NCAA Division III College of Saint Elizabeth.
Taking the helm as the leader of the College of Saint Elizabeth basketball team from 2011 to 2015, Degenhardt displayed her coaching prowess, earning recognition as the former North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) Coach of the Year. Simultaneously, she contributed as the strategic leader of the Saint Elizabeth softball team from 2012 to 2015, showcasing her versatility and dedication to collegiate athletics.
In the subsequent chapters of her coaching career, Degenhardt made an impactful mark at Georgian Court University. In eight seasons in the Lions’ dugout, she guided GCU to three CACC regular-season championships, two CACC Tournament Championships, and four appearances in the NCAA Division II East Region Tournament. The now three-time CACC Coach of the Year, Degenhardt, curated an exceptional roster in 2021, boasting eight All-CACC players. Her coaching prowess extended to the national stage, with four NFCA All-Region players, seven D2SIDA All-Region selections, and the prestigious NFCA First-Team All-American, Alyssa Herrera.
Georgian Court’s 38-6 overall record in 2021 secured the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference regular-season crown and marked its first CACC Championship Tournament title since 2009. The Lions’ impressive achievements continued as they made history, advancing to the NCAA Tournament for the third consecutive year in 2023, with a remarkable 39 wins. This remarkable feat marked the first time in program history that the Lions secured 38 or more wins for three straight years.
Throughout her coaching tenure, Degenhardt has been a beacon of excellence, earning Coach of the Year honors thrice. Under her guidance, two players, Samantha Reilly (2018) and Kaitlyn Stufft (2022), were named CACC Players of the Year, while Samantha Fohrman (2021) and Mikayla Gilgert (2022) claimed the titles of CACC Pitchers of the Year. The 2018 Rookie of the Year, Caitlin Hughes, also flourished under her mentorship. Degenhardt’s impact is further underscored by 29 all-CACC performances, with 17 players making the First Team and 12 earning Second Team honors. Her influence extends beyond accolades, having coached five All-American student-athletes and witnessed 29 players making the All-Region team under her guidance.
Nicole is now the Interim Head Coach at Montclair State University.

Holding a Master’s degree in Strength and Conditioning from Springfield College, Frank has dedicated his career to optimizing the physical potential of athletes across various sports. His relentless commitment to excellence, coupled with his personal achievements in strongman competitions, has made him a standout figure in the realm of strength and conditioning.

Collegiate and Professional Experience: With an extensive background in sports, Frank Spinelli has served as a strength and conditioning coach at both collegiate and professional levels, leaving a remarkable impact on the athletes he’s worked with.
Montclair Women’s Basketball: Frank has brought his expertise to the Montclair Women’s Basketball program, where he has played a pivotal role in enhancing the team’s physical capabilities.
New York Giants and Buffalo Bills: Frank Spinelli’s professional journey includes working with NFL powerhouses, the New York Giants and the Buffalo Bills. His influence has contributed to the peak performance of some of the league’s most elite athletes.
Baseball Career: Within the realm of baseball, Frank has had the privilege of serving as a strength and conditioning coach for the St. Louis Cardinals. His work with the Cardinals organization, specifically with the State College Spikes, led to remarkable success, with playoff appearances and league championships.
Awards and Accolades: Frank Spinelli’s dedication and expertise in strength and conditioning have not gone unnoticed. He has received multiple accolades and awards for his outstanding contributions.
Strength Coach of the Year – Peoria Chiefs: Frank Spinelli was honored as the Midwest League’s Strength and Conditioning Coach of the Year by the Professional Baseball Strength and Conditioning Coaches Society (PBSCCS). This recognition stands as a testament to his exceptional skills and commitment to the profession.
Previous Recognition: Prior to this award, Frank also secured the New York-Penn League’s Strength and Conditioning Coach of the Year while working with the State College Spikes. In all his minor league coaching experiences with the St. Louis Cardinals, his teams consistently reached the playoffs, highlighting his impact on athlete performance and development.
