
Brevard College Volleyball

Abbie Parde finished her third season in charge of Brevard College volleyball in the Fall of 2024, leading the Tornados to their most single-season wins since 2009 and first winning record since 2017. Parde was elevated to the head coaching position after serving as Interim Head Volleyball Coach of the Tornados in 2022.
In 2023, the Tornados qualified for the USA South Conference Volleyball Tournament, and won its most single-season matches (10) since the 2017 season.
In the 2022 season, Parde led the Tornados to a strong finish with wins in three of the five final matches of the year, including a two-match sweep in the year’s final USA South Conference quad-match.

Eric Friedt has been named Assistant Volleyball Coach at Brevard College, announced Head Coach Abbie Parde. Friedt will begin his duties at Brevard College on August 1 in advance of pre-season practice for the Fall 2024 season.
“I’m excited to bring Coach Friedt on board this fall,” said Parde. “He brings vast knowledge and a ton of passion around the sport. Coach Friedt’s positivity and energetic approach will help elevate this program to the next level!”
Friedt arrives at Brevard College from Akron, Ohio where he is currently a head coach and an assistant coach for multiple Junior Olympic Girls Volleyball teams with NOVA Juniors. In addition for the past several seasons, he has served as the Head JV Girls Volleyball Coach and the Assistant Boys Volleyball Coach at Stow-Munroe Falls High School in Stow, Ohio.
“It is an honor to take this next step in my coaching career at Brevard College,” said Friedt. “I am exhilarated to join such an outstanding community and volleyball program. I look forward to getting to work with Coach Abbie Parde and the incredible student-athletes here and doing something special together!”
