Welcome to the Baseball Prospect Camp! We’re delighted to have your aspiring student-athlete on board. Here’s a comprehensive breakdown of the day’s meticulously planned events:

**1:15 pm – 2:00 pm: Check-Ins**
We invite you to arrive between 1:15 pm and 2:00 pm for the check-in process. Our dedicated staff will be readily available to ensure a smooth check-in experience. Please feel free to ask any questions you might have at this time.

**2:00 pm – 3:30 pm: Pro-Style Workout**
From 2:00 pm to 3:30 pm, your student-athlete will immerse themselves in a dynamic pro-style workout. This focused session includes a range of skill-specific drills spanning hitting, fielding, and throwing. Our accomplished coaches will be on hand to offer personalized guidance and expertise.

**3:30 pm – 5:00 pm: Batting Practice, Cage Work, On-Field Defense and Campus Tour (pitchers & catchers) **
From 3:30 pm to 5:00 pm, the position players will get split into three groups (batting practice, cage work, on-field defense). During this time, the pitchers and catchers will take a campus tour with catchers going first.

**5:00 pm – 6:00 pm: Bullpens and Campus Tour (INF/OF) **
From 5:00 pm – 6:00 pm, all of the pitchers will throw a 15-20 pitch bullpen on our game mound to the catcher they warmed up with in the bullpen. This will be simulated and not live. During this time, infield and outfielders will go on a campus tour.

**6:00 pm: On-Field Evaluation**
At the culmination of the camp, each camper will receive a comprehensive On-Field Evaluation. This individualized assessment will highlight your student-athlete’s strengths, offer constructive feedback, and suggest areas for further development. It’s a personalized roadmap for their continued growth as a player.

– On-Field Evaluation: Our commitment to your student-athlete’s growth extends beyond the camp. The On-Field Evaluation serves as a valuable tool, providing insights that can guide their ongoing training and advancement.

Gene Bowles is in his second season in 2024 with the Point Skyhawks baseball program. Bowles will serve as the first base coach, as well as the recruiting coordinator and catcher’s coach for the Skyhawks and also doubles as the school’s Assistant Sports Information Director. Bowles comes to West Point, Ga after being the head baseball coach at Prince George’s Community College (MD) in the 2022 season.

Bowles had multiple stops at Prince George’s with the Owls program as his 2022 team finished runner-up for the Division III Region XX title. Bowles was also an assistant coach at Prince George’s, during the 2016, 2017, and 2019 seasons. While serving under Coach Foster, he helped guide the Owls to two Division III Region XX Championships (2017, 2019) and a second-place finish in 2016.

Bowles was instrumental in helping to improve upon the Owls 2016 (19-25) season record to an impressive 33-15 the very next season in 2017. The Owls 2017 squad went on to win the District D Championship and earn a berth in the NJCAA World Series at Pioneer Park in Greeneville, Tennessee.

Bowles primarily worked as a pitching coach and recruiting coordinator during his first stint at Prince George’s before he also began assisting with the athletic departments day-to-day operations as an athletic aide in 2019 to go along with his coaching duties.

Between his stops at Prince George’s, Bowles worked as an assistant coach at Dartmouth College and as pitching coach and recruiting coordinator at Bethany College. He’s also a former American Legion head coach and high school baseball coach. Bowles also coached in the prestigious Cape Cod Baseball League for the Brewster Whitecaps under Manager Jamie Shevchik in the summer of 2019. That summer produced multiple MLB draft picks in the 2020 and 2021 drafts. Coach Bowles was also the head coach that started the baseball program at Cleveland Community College, a NJCAA Division II Region X member located in Shelby, North Carolina. Bowles will also serve the 2023 summer season as an assistant coach with the Wareham Gatemen under Manager Ryan Smyth in the Cape Cod Baseball League.

Bowles attended College of Southern Maryland where he obtained his associate’s degree in Applied Arts and Sciences before transferring to The University of Maryland where he received a degree in Public Health. Bowles most recently received his Master’s in Intercollegiate Athletic Administration from Western Kentucky University in 2018.

Gene and his wife, Sarah, who has been an assistant coach for Point softball team since 2012, have one son.

Former college and current private high school baseball coach at Boy’s Latin (MD). A switch hitting outfielder with power from both sides of the plate, Dixon led Anne Arundel County (MD) in homers two straight seasons (seven each year). An All-County football running back and point guard on the Falcons’ basketball team. Dixon batted .329 (23 for 70) but was walked 20 times as teams tried to pitch around him. He led his team in runs scored (27), had five doubles, and a triple. Only struck out three times all season. Had a baseball scholarship to UNC-Charlotte.

The attendees should come dressed in baseball pants and have all baseball equipment.

Example: If you’re a catcher, you need to have all of your catcher equipment.

Food will not be provided. Snacks and water will be in the dugout for participates. We will also have a Kona Ice truck during camp!

Fill out medical wavier at check-in. We will have an athletic trainer on staff.

All camps are $50 per player.

If refund is requested, a camp credit will be rewarded to a future Gene Bowles Baseball LLC camp of your choosing.

Absolutely!

Each participant of the camp will receive a one-on-one evaluation that will be given to them via email no later than 48 hours after the end of the camp.
