Rules & Policies
Photo Release: I hereby give permission for my child to be photographed during Montreat College Basketball Camp. I understand the photos will be used to keep a journal of activities, to share during Power Point presentations and/or reports to our donors and for promotional purposes including flyers, brochures, newspaper and on the Internet. I understand that although my child’s photograph may be used for advertising, his or her identity will not be disclosed, I do not expect compensation and that all photos are the property of Montreat College and its affiliates.
Medical Release: I consent to any medical care and the administration of anesthesia determined by a physician to be necessary for the welfare of my child while said child is under the care of Montreat College Basketball camp organizers and I am not reasonably available by telephone to give consent.
Activity Waiver: I recognize the physical demand of strenuous athletic activity. I acknowledge that my child has been cleared to participate in such activity during their visit to Montreat College. I also waive Montreat College of any liability in the event of physical injury. I confirm that my child will be covered under personal medical insurance during participation in Montreat College Basketball Camp.
Additional Terms: Montreat College is not responsible for lost or damaged personal property. All scheduled events are subject to change. I understand that no fees will be refunded or transferred unless student registrants are unable to participate due to accident or illness per physician orders. Furthermore, I agree that while on Montreat College property, I will adhere to all policies and procedures that are set forth by the athletic department.
COVID-19: In preparation for camp, we ask that you do a health screening of your child before they depart your home. Anyone showing symptoms of COVID-19 should not travel to camp. All students will be encouraged to practice social distancing and wash their hands frequently. Montreat College will not require the use of face coverings but campers are welcome to wear them as they wish. Campers should continue to practice everyday preventative action to help deter the spread of respiratory viruses: Avoid contact with sick people. Avoid touching your eyes, nose, or mouth with unwashed hands. Clean your hands often by washing them with soap and water for at least 20 seconds or using an alcohol-based hand sanitizer that contains 60%–95% alcohol. Soap and water should be used if hands are visibly dirty. It is especially important to clean hands after going to the bathroom; before eating; and after coughing, sneezing or blowing your nose. Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue when you cough or sneeze. Do not reuse tissue after coughing, sneezing, or blowing your nose. Clean and disinfect surfaces that are frequently touched.
