The Connors State Baseball Academy is for the serious high school player who wants to improve his baseball skills to the highest level. The Academy will span over 4 Sundays August 25th, September 8th, 15th, and 22nd from 1:00 to 4:30 pm. The first 90 minutes will be a fundamental practice followed by an intra-squad game. This format will give players instruction on the various baseball skills as well as live game competition. Many players are playing on fall prospect teams with game situations only; this will give a player professional instruction along with the live game experience. Don’t miss this great opportunity to better your game and excel on the field!!

Perry Keith

One of the most consistent coaches in NJCAA baseball history, Perry Keith has amassed an unbelievable record of 1807 wins and just 513 losses in 38 years as head coach at Connors State College. He has the most wins in NJCAA baseball history and is believed to be the youngest collegiate baseball coach to reach 1,000 wins when he accomplished the feat at the age of 42.

In April of 2016 the baseball field at Connors State College was renamed by the board of regents bearing Coach Keith’s name. It is now Biff Thompson Field at Perry Keith Park

Keith has guided the Cowboys to 19  Conference championships, 8 Region II titles, 6 NJCAA South Central District crowns and 6 appearances at the Division I JUCO World Series.

For his efforts he has been awarded Bi-State Conference Coach of the Year 18 times, Region II Coach of the Year seven times, and South Central District Coach of the Year on five occasions.

In May of 2008 Perry Keith was awarded the ultimate honor being inducted into the NJCAA Baseball Hall of Fame in Grand Junction, CO. Also in 2008 Keith’s jersey number 7 was retired.

Keith has coached 42 NJCAA All-Americans, 82 NJCAA Academic All-Americans, 1 Olympian and his program boasts a graduation percentage of 95 percent.

Keith has also had 14 former players make it to the Major Leagues. Over 130 players have been drafted in the Major league draft under since Keith took over in 1985

Korey Keith is beginning his 9th season as assistant baseball coach for Connors State College. Coach Keith works with the Cowboy outfielders and hitters and takes care of beautiful Biff Thompson Field at Perry Keith Park.

Keith is a former Cowboy All- American, was 4th in the nation in hitting in 2013 and was a member of the 2013 Cowboy World Series team that finished 5th in the nation.

A graduate of Connors State College in 2013, Keith continued his playing career Southern Arkansas University where he made All Conference and was a member of two GAC Conference championship teams. Keith graduated with a Bachelor’s degree from Southern Arkansas University and a Master’s degree from East Central University.

Keith and his wife Autumn reside in Warner and are the proud parents of their daughter Kambri.

Jackson Field

Jackson Field is beginning his 2nd season as assistant baseball coach for Connors State College. Coach Field works with the Cowboy catchers and pitchers.

 

A graduate of Connors State College in 2019 and member of the 2019 Cowboy World Series team, Jackson resides in Warner.
