CURRENT PROGRAMS ATTENDING: The University of North Carolina, Georgia, North Carolina State, Clemson, Houston and Rice. Other programs could be added closer to the date of Camp and the Camp is open to any other programs wishing to attend.
Position Players: Hitting Campers will be split into 6 Teams coached and instructed by staff and college coaches in attendance for a single game in the afternoon. Campers are guaranteed a minimum of 3 at bats during the simulated games. To ensure quality at-bats, pace of play and defensive work, the games will be played off a pitching machine and last 7-9 innings depending on total number of at-bats per camper.
PITCHERS ATTENDING: Those interested in Pitching can attend camp and be a part of a pitching presentation along with drill, bullpen and arm care stations in the morning. The main draw for Pitching will be a short bullpen session that will give Video, Mechanical and Analytical feedback using either Track Man or Rapsodo Data. A pitching report will be generated outlining mechanics and will include analytical numbers produced (velocity, spin rate, axis/tilt etc..). A voice over mechanical overview is also included that will be mailed out post camp. Lunch and the Coaching Q and A is included in the Pitcher Portion of camp. The Pitching Portion of the Camp will be run by pitching specific coaches with oversite from UNC Coach Jason Howell. Coach Howell, with help from one of the other programs in attendance, will be conducting the Mechanical Video Overview. However, even though programs in attendance will be floating around, it should not be expected that those coaches will be witnessing the bullpens. Each Coach will have access to all data and videos. Again, the feedback and analytics with the Q and A session provided is the pitching draw for this camp.
Pro Style Workout – Outfield Workout / Infield Workout / Catching Workout / Instruction leading into the 60 Yard Dash / Batting Practice

Campers will be given a written evaluation of their camp performance along with analytical data that will included: exit velocities, run times, etc…
Camp will conclude after individual game play on Day 2
A Session with the Coaches: The NCAA does not permit individual school or recruiting based talks, information surrounding recruiting must be general and not a recruiting “spill” or promotional speech. However, baseball Qs and As are fully permissible.
The CTA College Coaches Instructional, Evaluation and Data Camp is an all-encompassing Collegiate Camp focused on developmental instruction as well as camper evaluation feedback. Participants will be instructed by some of college baseball’s top programs spending time on infield play, outfield defense, catching and hitting. Additionally, campers will be exposed and participate in a professional style workout including analytical data gathering and statistical analysis. Campers will be given a post camp evaluation which will include all data collected throughout the day. Along with the evaluation, each camper’s performance will be available on the Carolina Training Camp website (only the individual camper will know their listing code). Listed anonymously, the data points allow participants to compare their performances with the camp peer group without names attached, while also granting each camper easy access to their information.
