“I am excited to bring this, one of a kind and pitching exclusive camp to North Carolina. We have assembled an outstanding first-class specialized staff full off current and former high level professional and collegiate coaches along with Power 5 physical therapist, athletic trainers, strength and conditioning coaches. Additionally, we are introducing a mental aspect to our camp with sessions surrounding baseball and sports psychology. Our goal is to instruct as well as educate, helping pitches become the best version of themselves!”
– The 90 MPH barrier has been broken by many but at the same time hitters are turning around 93, 94 and 96 MPH heaters at an all-time high. Velocity has become a focal point both on the mound and offensively, while pitchability, command and strike-throwing has taken a back seat. Not here at The Farm. At The Farm, we embrace control, command and power, giving you the tools and information needed to grow in today’s game and maximize your potential.
– The CTA Pitching Farm is an all-encompassing Pitching Camp and is exclusively customized to each participant. Therefore, limited spaces are available offered on a first come first serve basis. A waitlist is available along with additional dates in the planning stages set for later in the fall.
– Focus: Durability – Resilience – Education – Health – Recovery
Durability:
Through programs that have had success both at the collegiate and professional levels, we help demonstrate and train pitchers to gain and maintain velocity jumps. However, durability is not just about velocity! Opposed to “blowing it out” early during an outing or season, the Farm believes in all-around performance focusing on sustained innings pitched per game, as well as peaking and maintaining throughout a season.
Resilience:
Demonstrated and stressed throughout The Farm we teach and stress the importance of both the physical and mental toughness needed to help produce and replicate success.
Education:
At The Farm we help educate pitchers not only on their own strengths and weaknesses and how they translate into outs during a game but also hitters and tendencies. Additionally, we dive into analytics helping pitchers learn their metrics, meanings and how those metrics come into play during performance. We take a lot of pride in our educational portion of the camp and believe it is an important factor in helping pitchers know and understand who they are and how “their stuff” translates into getting outs and results.
Health:
A pitcher’s health is of the utmost importance. At The Farm, our certified athletic trainers have aided the health and recovery of both collegiate and professional pitchers who not only give presentations surrounding arm care but also demonstrate the most up to date techniques of healthy arms on the field. Additionally, a huge part of the Farm’s camp is based on assessments and evaluations of not only the arm but the entire body. Our trainers will put athletes through a series of assessments to help flag any potential shortcomings along with prescribing exercises to aid in improving any flagged issues.
Recovery:
Running hand-in-hand with health, recovery is a big part of The Farm’s Program. Along with the assessments, recovery exercises are evaluated and prescribed to help athletes post outings, during training and performances.
At The Farm We Strive For:
Strike Zone control moving toward command with the fastball.
Strike Zone control moving toward command with secondary pitches.
An individual repeatable delivery.
Helping athletes learn and understand their metrics and data to become a better pitcher.
Helping pitchers rev their engines (stressing them) by working on throwing and baseball specific workouts and routines – not just the traditional bigger, faster, stronger football workouts seen throughout today.
The Farm is here to help:
Enhance your velocity.
Enhance your control.
Enhance your education and learning curve.
Make you a more complete pitcher and not just a mindless thrower, hoping to get hitters out.
