Chaz Lopez enters his third year as the Head Assistant at Adams State University. Currently serving as the offensive coordinator and outfield coach for the Grizzlies, Coach Lopez has helped the Adams State offensive and outfield improve each year.
These improvements helped the Grizzlies break the record for most wins in school history at 24 along with the longest winning streak in program history at 8 in 2024. The Grizzlies also finished third in the nation in average during the 2024 season along with having multiple other offensive categories that finished in the top 25 in the nation.
Coach Lopez focuses on building relationships and helping each of his players become the best human being they possibly can. Communication is the number one emphasis for Coach Lopez, regardless of the situation. Effective communication leads to success in any situation, especially on the baseball field.
Coach Lopez finished his playing career in 2021 after playing a year of Independent baseball pitching in the Pecos League for the Colorado Springs Snow Sox. Before this, Coach Lopez graduated from Bellevue University an NAIA in Omaha, NE where he played two year under Coach Monlux.
After finishing his playing career, Coach Lopez moved directly into coaching where he started as a Graduate Assistant at Bellevue University helping them make it to the NAIA World Series in 2022. Coach Lopez has also spent the last three summers Coaching in the RMBL where he helped the Denver Cougars make it to the quaterfinals of the NBC World Series in 2023.

Our camps are open to all baseball players, regardless of skill level, age, grade level, or gender. We welcome beginners looking to learn the game as well as advanced players seeking to enhance their skills.

Our camps boast a highly qualified and experienced coaching staff. Instructors include Coach Del Tondo, Coach Lopez, and current Adams State players. This ensures that participants receive top-notch instruction from experts who are dedicated to fostering the growth and development of young athletes.
What should my child bring to the Adams State Baseball Camps?
Participants should bring their own baseball equipment, including gloves, bats, helmets, and appropriate footwear. It is also recommended to bring sunscreen, a water bottle, and any necessary medications or allergy information.
